First Time Competitor

Overview

  • Check event page for up-to-date info on parking, event entry, cancellations, change of venues, etc

  • Most events will have a quick instruction for first-timers on Friday night. Check event page for details.

  • Arrive early - Some event parking can be a nightmare and may require a shuttle service and or a bit of a hike.

  • Check-in starts one hour before the event. You will need to sign a waiver and will be assigned a flight (throwing group) of similar athletic ability.

  • 15 minutes before the event starts, there will be an athlete meeting to discuss the day's event.

  • Don't be afraid to ask questions. Everyone is willing to help.

  • It's okay to make mistakes, that is how you learn.

  • If you don't have a fork don't worry. An athlete will happily share theirs. Don't stick the fork in the ground and be careful not to poke anyone.

  • Have Fun!
